Just completed a great day yesterday at the Tulsa School of Dev! Rob Tennyson, Devlin Liles, and myself headed over very early. All three of us gave presentations that were really well received. Rob presented on Advanced Linq, Devlin covered some great info on Sql Server Reporting Services, and I gave a new presentation on using WCF Syndication to consume and create RSS/ATOM feeds.
Despite the snow, which came down like a Colorado blizzard, the turn out was good and we all had a great time. Thanks to David Walker for having me and the Arkansas gang out we had a great time.
Now it is time to finish gearing up for the Northwest Arkansas Code Camp on April 25th. Hopefully we won’t have any snow.
School of Dev 2009 - Saturday, March 28th 2009 is going to be bigger and better than ever! This year we are joining efforts with the first ever SharePoint Saturday Tulsa!
Offering something for everyone! SharePoint End Users, Developers, Administrators and Architects. Of course, the School of Dev content will continue to deliver for everyone from beginner to advanced developer!
There's no greater pleasure for an event organizer than to have the advanced developers come up after an event and say how much they learned. This is what happened last year. This year will be even better.
You think you already know it all? Show up and you'll feel like you should be a contestant on "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader?".
Registration will be open soon, so keep your eye on the School of Dev 2009 site for more details.
If you haven’t already registered for the Nwa Code Camp you need to get with it. The event is schedule for April 25 and space is limited.
To register please visit http://codecamp.nwadnug.org/ and click on the register link at the top of the screen.
This is the first attempt to have a regional event in Northwest Arkansas and we will be closely monitoring attendance to determine if we should continue to create events of this nature in this area.
There will be 3 tracks with 12 sessions on various topics, everything from SharePoint, Windows Communication all the way to iPhone development.
Please forward this information on to everyone you know that would be interested and encourage them to attend. Think of this as free training in a time where training and travel budgets are being cut daily.
We need your help making this an event a huge success in our area.
Just a reminder that tonight is the next meeting of the Northwest Arkansas .NET User Group at the Jones Center in Springdale, AR at 5:30 PM.
John Teague will present "A Path to Automated Testing". This is a free event but RSVP is encouraged. For more information, contact Tim Tyrrell at officers@nwadnug.org, or for more details and to RSVP go to http://snipr.com/clioj.
